Inspired by Ricky Tim’s’ book, take an exciting fabric (or possibly 4 fat quarters of co-ordinating fabrics that look great together), slash into strips of varying widths, converge, sew together, then slash into strips once again.  Converge again and Eureka!!! You’ve got yourself an artsy quilt.
